There would be a deceased person in addition to three still missing in the accident that occurred this evening on Lake Maggiore, where due to a violent storm a boat with twenty-four people on board, 22 passengers and two crew members overturned in the waters between Lisanza, in the Varese area and Dormelletto in the Novara area.
According to what has been learned, fourteen of the castaways would have managed to reach the Piccaluga locality, and were rescued: four of them were taken to hospital, 3 in green code and one in yellow code. The accident occurred around 19.30 pm, the boat would be a house-boat. Operations are underway to recover the people who ended up in the water, which had been rented in the afternoon by a group of 22 foreign people.
The alarm was raised by a boat that noticed the missing in the water. On site there are the specialists firefighters of the aquatic rescue, the air rescuers of the Lombardy flight department on board the helicopter "Drago 150" and the diving unit of Milan.
