The Canadian singer Céline Dion has cancelled the European tour planned for August due to her neurological illness. "I'm so sorry to disappoint you all again," she wrote on Twitter.

"I'm working really hard to regain my strength, but touring can be very tough even when you're at 100 percent." It is not fair to postpone the concerts. But the best thing to do is to cancel everything now until she's really ready to be on stage again. "I'm not giving up... And I can't wait to see you all again!" the message reads.

In December 2022, Dion had shared in a video on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. This is a neurological disease that affects the central nervous system and restricts the movement of those affected.

At that time, the singer had already postponed the concerts in Europe. Even before announcing her illness, the singer had canceled concerts planned for March and April 2022 in the United States.

The tour planned for this year in Europe should have started on August 26, 2023 with a concert in Amsterdam. After an interruption in winter, it would have ended with a concert in London on April 22, 2024.
