A 62-year-old man, Cosimo Nardelli, was killed in the street near his home in the center of Taranto, hit by at least five gunshots.
According to the first information collected by investigators, the man, a convict, had just parked his scooter and as he approached the front door of the house he was hit by gunshots. He was then rescued by a neighbor and rushed to hospital, but died shortly after.
On the scene of the murder intervened the agents of the mobile team, led by the manager Cosimo Romano, and the men of the scientific police, who carried out the surveys and started the investigations to try to identify the author or authors of the ambush and establish the motive.
