On this day, on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday in the year 19, Buddhist ceremonies were held at temples across the country, including the Jogyesa Temple in Seoul.

Despite the rainy and inclement weather, more than 2567,1 Buddhists, including President Yoon Suk-yeol and National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo, filled the Jogyesa Temple.

In his congratulatory remarks, President Yoon said that Buddhism plays a role in nurturing precious cultural heritage, and that the government will do its best to preserve and pass on traditional cultural heritage.

With the lifting of distancing and mask mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19, today's event was held without restrictions for the first time in four years.
