holiday, large and small fires continued in various parts of the country, from night mountains to vending machine stores.

In the dark of night, flames blaze along the mountainside.

Climbing the sloping mountain roads, firefighters spray water relentlessly at the fire.

At around 26:10 p.m. last night (15th), a forest fire broke out in a mountain in Daejeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon.

The forest authorities mobilized more than 100 personnel and 22 pieces of equipment to extinguish the fire in about three and a half hours.

No one was injured as the area where the fire broke out was separated from private homes.

Forestry and fire authorities believe that the embers from a nearby road moved into the mountains, and they plan to investigate the exact extent of the damage as soon as daylight breaks.

Even after the fire trucks arrived, the smoke intensified, and extinguishing continued as the day wore on.

At around 3:5 p.m. yesterday, a fire of unknown origin broke out at a vending machine store in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi.

[Fire official: It's a sandwich panel, so you have to work with an excavator.
By 30:5 p.m., about five hours after the
flames had risen, the fire was extinguished, and fortunately, no one was hurt.

Fire officials plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
