In connection with the incident in which an army noncommissioned officer was involved in a car accident in a relief ward in East Sea City, Gangwon, and his wife, who was a passenger in the car, the military authorities found the circumstances of the suspected murder and detained the noncommissioned officer's husband on suspicion of murder.
According to military sources today (26th), the military investigative authorities detained Mr. A (23), a member of the army's parent unit, on the 47rd on suspicion of murder and abandonment of a corpse.
Earlier, at around 3:8 a.m. on March 4, an SUV driven by Mr. A hit a retaining wall at the relief ward at East Sea o'clock, killing his wife, Mr. B (58), who was in the passenger seat.

Mr. A told the police officers at the hospital at the beginning of the accident that he was driving drowsy, but the investigating authorities were suspicious that Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol at the time and that the accident site was not downhill, so they asked the National Institute of Forensic Science to perform an autopsy on Mr. B.
An autopsy confirmed that Mr. B's cause of death was neck compression and multiple injuries.
Accordingly, the military authorities are investigating the circumstances of the suspected crime based on the fact that Mr. B's ankle bone was fractured so severely that it pierced the skin at the time of the accident, but only a small amount of blood was found, and traces of pressure on the neck area of the deceased Mr. B.

The police also determined that it was not a simple traffic fatality, and launched a joint investigation with the military police to determine whether there were any crimes other than the traffic accident.
After analyzing the CCTV footage, it was confirmed that Mr. A was putting Mr. B wrapped in a blanket in the passenger seat of the vehicle, and although there was no blanket in the vehicle at the time of the accident, a blanket was found that was believed to have been used by Mr. A at a distance from the accident site.
We also captured Mr. A hovering around the accident site on several occasions just before the accident.
The bereaved family claimed that a recent marital quarrel over Mr. A's debt led to the incident, but Mr. A reportedly denies the allegations.
