And two! The Hermès shop in Lille, in the historic center, was robbed with a ramming car Thursday at dawn, a police source said, confirming information from La Voix du Nord. The facts took place around 5:30 am, using a Citroën Saxo, a week after a similar theft in the nearby Louis Vuitton boutique.

Clothes, jewellery and bags were stolen, but "some of the loot was reportedly abandoned on the spot", it added. A second car remained at the scene and "a third vehicle" fled.

New studs on the sidewalk

This burglary takes place a week after a similar robbery at the Louis Vuitton boutique in the city, located 100 meters away. Shortly before 6 a.m., a vehicle was embedded in the façade, allowing thieves to seize goods.

The same attack had already targeted this Louis Vuitton boutique in January, for a damage then qualified as "considerable" by the prosecutor. The city, which had, at the end of the first flight, put two additional studs on the sidewalk, will again add more, to create an impassable line, said Mayor Martine Aubry.
