Juma Al Majid was established in 1991 and is today considered one of the most important cultural centers in the world that contributes to enhancing global cultural sustainability.

During the opening of the conference, in which 34 international speakers in the fields of cultural sustainability participated, a recorded speech was presented by Juma Al Majid, in which he said: "Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage today contains one million illustrated and original manuscripts, and two million printed books, and the center has donated many manuscript restoration devices to many institutions and libraries around the world, and established imaging laboratories in countries that were in dire need of these laboratories. I have always believed that the book and manuscript should travel to the researcher, not the researcher who travels to the book and manuscript, and this was the most important goal of establishing the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, and I felt since childhood that it is my duty to preserve the book anywhere in the world, in any language or any subject or belief, and I invite you to be this message all of you in order to preserve the book and facilitate its access to researchers anywhere in the world.

He added: "I thank the rulers of the UAE on this occasion for their support for my humanitarian message, and they are the ones who founded the UAE on science and culture, and they are the strongest believers in it and its supporters."

The honour was received on behalf of Juma Al Majid by the President of the Centre, Ahmed Khaled Juma Al Majid, and the "World Leading Cultural Leader Award" awarded by the Saihati Centre for Cultural Exchange in London is one of the most prestigious awards presented to personalities who have a clear impact on the global cultural scene.
