A large fire broke out inside a warehouse of the former Obi store connected to the Le Vele shopping center in Desenzano del Garda, in the Brescia area. There are no injuries also because the structure is empty and works are underway. Thick, dark smoke is visible from miles away. On the spot, firefighters are busy extinguishing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby offices that house the specialties of Asst Garda and a private clinic, as well as an appliance store. The Lombardy region, at the invitation of the Councillor for the Environment Giorgio Maione, immediately sent Arpa technicians to the site to monitor any air pollution dangers that, for now, do not seem to be there. All while the prosecutor has opened a file to clarify the dynamics of the fire.
Also from Trento a special vehicle of the Fire Brigade and a tanker for extinguishing industrial fires with two operators departed.
