In a statement to SANA's correspondent, the head of the Arab Writers Union in Syria, Muhammad Al-Hourani, said that there is a systematic and unprecedented war on everything related to our identity, belonging and culture, and when we talk about intangible heritage, we are talking about an unwritten culture in the vast majority, which dictates that we work with all our institutions and cadres in order to preserve and pass it on to our generations.

He added that it was agreed with the lecturers today to send these researches to the Arab Writers Union to be issued in a special book on intangible culture in Homs, which is an integrated work that will include the Syrian provinces.

Dr. Ahmed Dahman said that the intangible heritage consists of customs and traditions and the ideas and feelings expressed by people that are transmitted by individuals from generation to generation, and it is the incubator of the nation's memory and the title of its national and national identity, and it is a torch of light that we draw from light to move towards our future.

Writer and researcher Attia Massouh said: The intangible heritage includes arts, customs, traditions and popular culture, and touched on the manifestation of this in Homsi poetry starting from the middle of the twentieth century until today, including "Mazhar Al-Hajji, Hassan Al-Judi, Mahmoud Naqsho and Ghazi Tulaimat," focusing on the emotional aspect.

For his part, Dr. Jawdat Ibrahim spoke about folk poetry in Wadi Al-Nadara, indicating that it is a topic that has been worked on for more than ten years, and a huge book has been completed on this topic that dealt with poets in Wadi Al-Nadara and the history of this experience and its importance in the development of the region.

He added: Folk literature is diverse and multi-form, and these types of arts do not represent the studied area only, but also symbolize an ancient Syrian heritage that was not previously written, pointing out that work is currently underway to complete an encyclopedia of folk literature in Wadi Al-Nadara, in which more than 100 poets have participated so far.

Iyad Khazal, a professor at the Faculty of Education at Al-Baath University, addressed the lyrical heritage in the Al-Qaryatayn area and its features, "Al-Ataba and Al-Mejna, Dabke songs and songs of the bride" and its privacy, stressing that the intangible heritage is a spiritual repertoire for peoples such as poetry, novel and art, and the peoples' preservation of their heritage means that they are proud of their originality, belonging and identity.

Dr. Hayel, the student, spoke about the semiotics of passion in folk singing in the central region, focusing on the main statements in this singing and explaining the oral style, which is one of the patterns that were wronged at the level of the academic lesson.
