Beijing, 5 May (ZXS) -- The 22-year-long collection of oracle bones in the Palace Museum has begun to bear fruit. As the core of the achievements of the platform stage of the Palace Museum of the "Paleography and Chinese Civilization Inheritance and Development Project" (hereinafter referred to as the "Paleography Project"), the "Oracle Bone Script of the Palace Museum", "Ma Heng Scroll" and "Xie Boyan Scroll" were first released on the 22nd.

The Palace Museum is the world's third largest oracle bone collection unit, with more than 22000,<> pieces of Yinxu oracle bones, most of which have never been sorted out and published before, and is known as "the last treasure of oracle bone literature".

The "Oracle Bone Texts of the Palace Museum Collection", "Ma Heng Scroll" and "Xie Boyan Scroll" released this time are the core of the achievements of the "Paleography Project" Palace Museum platform stage. According to the characteristics of its own cultural relics collection, the Forbidden City organizes the oracle bones collected according to collectors, and strives to include homologous oracle bones and related old extensions. The "Ma Heng Scroll" is accompanied by old extensions such as the "Guoxuemen Tibetan Oracle Bone Script" personally produced by Ma Heng. The "Xie Bo Yan Scroll" contains two types: "The Palace Museum Collection of Xie Bo Yan Oracle Bones" and "East China Normal University Collection of Oracle Bones". Each volume is accompanied by a bibliographic list, which not only ensures the integrity of the data, but also facilitates the understanding of the information comparison and academic research of this batch of oracle bone flow transmission collection, the present and the past. There are also many innovations in stylistic examples, and it is an excellent oracle bone bibliography.

According to Wang Su, a research librarian of the Palace Museum, the sorting of oracle bones in the Palace Museum began in 2013, and the finishing work implements the principle of "three conformities", that is, it is in line with the characteristics of cultural relics preservation, especially in respect of the original state and sorting according to the collector; In line with the standard of literature collation, that is, the name of the oracle bone, the setting of the problem explanation, and the interpretation of the text show the original state; In line with the trend of academic development, the relevant information of an oracle bone is put on the same page.

For example, a large part of the oracle bones in the Forbidden City came from the Canadian missionary Mingyi, who divided them into ten boxes of A, B, PENTYL, PENTYL, HEPTEN, XIN, NONEN. "Collectors organize their ideas, we don't understand many of the classifications of Mingyi, we need to study, and it is very important to preserve the original state of the collection." Wang Su said.

Wang Xudong, president of the Palace Museum, pointed out that the academic Forbidden City is the core of the Forbidden City's cultural and museum undertakings, and the Palace Museum should not only contribute to academic research, but also increase efforts in the dissemination of academic achievements. Through new media and other channels, give full play to the advantages of museums, do a good job in the activation of ancient characters and public popularization education, so that more people can understand ancient characters and deepen their understanding of the orderly inheritance of Chinese civilization.
