Amid a large student crowd, the film Damascus Aleppo directed by Basil Al-Khatib was screened this evening at the Grand Amphitheater at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Al-Baath University, in the presence of the film's heroes, the able artists Duraid Lahham and Sabah Al-Jazaeri, within the Al-Baath University Forum for Syrian Cinema, which is held by the Student Union branch at the university in cooperation with the General Organization for Cinema.

Bassel Al-Khatib, the director of the film, stressed in a statement to SANA the importance of cooperation between the Student Union and the Cinema Foundation to present various cinematic screenings, considering that it is the right of young people in universities to watch Syrian film production, as students are thirsty to see films that express their ambitions, pain and hopes, especially if these films carry real human thought.

Al-Khatib said: "The great interaction witnessed by the students brought joy to our hearts and proved the students' understanding of the cultural and artistic situation.

Students Agheed Al-Mohammed, Baraa Zaini, Yara Issa and George Tohme expressed their happiness at attending the film, which presented human stories that reflected the facts of what Syrians experienced during the war, indicating that the film addressed their minds, conscience and emotions.
