A 41-year-old mother and her 4-year-old son died after falling from the Mostizzolo bridge in Val di Sole in Trentino.
On the dynamics, and above all the reasons for the tragedy, the carabinieri of the Cles company are investigating. The lifeless bodies of the mother and son were recovered in the waters of the Noce stream under the bridge.
The alarm went off around one o'clock last night after some motorists had noticed a car on the bridge. Firefighters, mountain rescue, carabinieri, medical personnel and a helicopter were used in the search operations.
The causes of the tragedy are being investigated by the carabinieri of the Cles company. Among the hypotheses, that of an extreme gesture.
