Roland Garros will start on May 28, but, before the stars arrive, the seeds of champions compete from May 22 to 26 for a place in the final draw.

Back on clay with Opening Week

Clay lovers will not have to wait very long to find the ochre of Roland Garros. For the future great players of the circuit, the competition begins on May 22 with 5 days of qualifying. This is an opportunity for you to reconnect with this prestigious event while discovering the most promising talents in the discipline. Organized on the Courts Annexes, these meetings reserve a beautiful show.

From May 22 to 26, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to follow the matches of the two best courts every day. The Amazon cover will then allow you to watch all 11 nightly sessions (one more than in 2022) exclusively. No special subscription is needed to follow this global event, it is still €6.99/month or €69.90. No need to commit immediately, you have a trial month to watch all Roland Garros for free from the start of qualifying to the men's final on June 11.

Who to follow during Roland Garros qualifying?

In 2021, a certain Carlos Alcaraz went through the qualifications to reach the final draw of Roland Garros. Now number 1 in the world (he has just recovered the first place thanks to his participation in the Masters 1 in Rome), the Spaniard is the favorite of the International of France.

This year, from court n°2 to court n°14, the young shoots will play three matches in three sets to win one of the 32 places (16 for men and 16 for women) that will allow them to face the greatest champions from May 28. The list of entries for the qualifications has not yet been revealed. For the moment, the organization has only revealed that Clara Burel, Jessika Ponchet, Arthur Fils and Hugo Gaston will not participate in this elimination round. French hopefuls have indeed benefited from an invitation as part of the Destination Roland Garros operation. These wild-cards awarded on merit allow young French competitors to directly integrate the fortnight of the competition despite an insufficient ranking. Back on the challenger circuit, Benoît Paire (160th in the world) had to wait but finally received an invitation allowing him to join the final draw directly.

Take advantage of the 30-day Amazon Prime free trial
