Because security forces denied him access to a nightclub, a 32-year-old is said to have shot at one of the bouncers in Berlin. As a result of the shot early Sunday morning in the Prenzlauer Berg district, the bouncer suffered a bullet through the shin, police said. His colleague was also injured in the altercation, he had a laceration on his head.

According to police, the 32-year-old wanted to go to a club on Schönhauser Allee together with a 24-year-old. However, the bouncers had denied them access. As a result, there was a dispute between the men. Witnesses had testified that the 32-year-old pulled out a gun and shot at one of the bouncers.

The suspect was arrested. Since he was also injured in the face, he had to be treated in hospital. His alleged accomplice had given a blood sample and had been handed over to the criminal police, it said. It is determined because of simple and dangerous bodily injury.
