The 11-year-old boy who stabbed a 14-year-old schoolmate this afternoon would have acted to defend himself from yet another act of bullying. This is what emerges from the first reconstructions of the carabinieri coordinated by the Palermo Juvenile Prosecutor's Office led by Claudia Caramanna.

This afternoon a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Via del Vespro by an 11-year-old schoolmate. It is unclear whether the attack took place in or near the Quasimodo Institute. The boy arrived at the emergency room of the Civic hospital accompanied by his grandfather and some relatives, in the afternoon, with several stab wounds to his hands, arms and chest. One of the blows punctured his lung.

The team of the head physician of the Massimo Geraci hospital stabilized him and now the 14-year-old is hospitalized in a critical area but not in danger of life. Law enforcement is trying to reconstruct what happened. The case is dealt with by the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Palermo.
