• A French debutant, Ethann Isidore, is the revelation of "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny".
  • This charismatic 16-year-old did not take the big head.
  • He loved working with Harrison Ford.

Ethann Isidore has stars in his eyes. At just 16 years old, this young Frenchman from Yvelines climbed the steps of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival with Harrison Ford to whom he gives the answer in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

"I went through a casting, then my mother told me that I was taken and that we were leaving for London," he told 20 Minutes. It was unbelievable. And it has remained so, because he says he shot extremely spectacular scenes with Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas. "It feels funny to see myself on the poster with them," he admits.

Accomplice with Harrison Ford

His collaboration with Harrison Ford thrilled him. "He's very funny and I sometimes struggled to tell the difference between Indiana Jones and him. He likes to make jokes like Indy does. The young actor had little experience - we saw him in the series Sam on TF1 - but he felt at home on the set. "I was impressed by some of the sequences, including a tuk-tuk scene where it was shooting from all sides." He seems to have recovered and welcomes his first interviews with as much naturalness as kindness while waiting for new proposals. "The Indiana Jones experience didn't go to my head," he says.

Ethann Isidore puts his studies first. His charming mother, who attended the interview, wants him to continue high school. He has, for the moment, no other ambition than to pass his baccalaureate in French next year, but we bet that we will see him again soon on the big screen.
