The investigations arose from a complex activity originated from international collaboration and coordinated at national level by the National Center for the fight against online child pornography of the Postal and Communications Police Service and by the investigators of the Cyber Security Operations Center for Piedmont and Valle D'Aosta.
During the computer search, the agents of the Postal Police, in addition to ascertaining the large amount of child pornography files, ascertained the classification of the material into hidden folders, in some cases also subject to photo editing through the use of graphic editing applications. The devices used to procure the illicit material were seized.
