Harrison Ford: Palme d'Or and "premiere" of the new chapter of "Indiana Jones"

The new film, which the Walt Disney Co. will release on June 30 in the United States, is the first in the saga not directed by Steven Spielberg or with a story attributed to George Lucas.

Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford today in Cannes for the world premiere of "Indiana Jones and the Quadrant of Destiny" in one of the most anticipated events of the Côte d'Azur festival. Ford, 80, said "The Quadrant of Destiny" will be his last interpretation of the character. Today he also receives the honorary Palme d'Or. It's not the first Indiana Jones film to premiere at Cannes. The fourth installment, "Indiana and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", was launched in the 2008 edition of the festival. The new film, which the Walt Disney Co. will release on June 30 in the United States, is the first in the saga not directed by Steven Spielberg or with a story attributed to George Lucas. Instead, James Mangold (Ford vs. Ferrari, Logan) takes the reins of the film with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas and Mads Mikkelsen.
