A
van stumbles across lanes.

The scene was spotted by police on patrol.

As the police car approaches, he makes a hasty U-turn and begins to pick up speed.

The van drove 500 meters and stopped in the parking lot of a cathedral.

The driver gets out of the car and tries to sprint off, but the midnight chase ends in less than five minutes.

Mr. A, an illegal immigrant, abandoned his car here and fled for about 5 meters before being caught by the police who followed him.

At the scene, Mr. A refused to take a breathalyzer test and was arrested.

[Captain of the Middle East Police Division of Honggi/Seogwipo Police Station: When I was arrested, my mouth was full of the smell of alcohol and my face was already red. We decided that we should arrest him unconditionally to prevent a second accident....]

After the investigation, it was determined that Mr. A had admitted to drinking alcohol and did not have a license.

The police arrested Mr. A on suspicion of refusing to take a breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act and driving without a license and handed him over to the Immigration and Foreigners Administration.
