The musical evening of the Syrian National Ensemble for Arabic Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, was entitled "Damascus on the Covenant", which came in cooperation between the Ministries of Education and Culture, and was hosted by the Opera Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The band presented 10 musical and lyrical pieces by Syrian poets, including Dr. Ezzat Tabbaa and the great Syrian national figure Fakhri Al-Baroudi, and from the Syrian heritage, in addition to presenting a poem by the Egyptian poet Ahmed Shawky.

The band began its evening by presenting a musical piece entitled "Izz Al-Sharq Oula Damascus", and presented with the choir the song "Syria has a big heart and a big heart and a whole world", followed by the song "Watani" by the Rahbani brothers.

The band opened the second part of the evening by presenting a musical piece entitled "Palmyra the Gate of the Sun", after which the band and choir performed Ahmed Shawky's poem "Qom Nag Jalaq", to conclude the evening with a group of enthusiastic patriotic songs, in addition to Syrian panorama songs from the Syrian governorates, to be the final with the poem of the poet Fakhri Al-Baroudi "Arab countries are my homelands".

In his speech, the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, stressed that Damascus has always been the capital of love, goodness and peace, not only the capital of the Syrian state, but also the heart of all Arabism.

Minister Tabbaa explained that the musical evening comes and we are all looking forward to a bright day after lean years, in which we tickle our Arab feelings with the tunes and voices of our youth so that tomorrow will be better, and to feel that what we endured in previous years has borne fruit and that Syria was able, with the steadfastness of its sons, the clarity of its vision, the stability of its Arab affiliation, the blood of its martyrs, the strength of its army and the wisdom of its leader, to fail the largest colonial project in history that wanted to kill a nation with the swords of its sons, so these swords wore roses that smell to spread peace and love among peoples. World.
