When a
man with a suitcase sees the undercover detectives, he tries to escape, but is soon caught.

This is Mr. A, who is suspected of distributing narcotics purchased in Vietnam to the metropolitan area since November last year.

Mr. B, a smuggler connected to Mr. A, was also arrested on the spot at Incheon International Airport.

[I've been arrested for smuggling drugs, and I'm going to search my phone, body, and belongings.]

Drugs worth 11 million won were found in Mr. B's body, including 5 grams of ketamine, which can be administered by 308,2 people at the same time.

Police say they arrested 3 people for smuggling and distributing Vietnamese drugs, as well as 10 people who bought drugs from them.

Among them, 64 people, including Mr. A, were detained, and additional arrest warrants were applied for for 13 smugglers.

[Son Eun-ho/Chief of Detective Division 3, Bucheon Wonmi Police Station: We confirmed that he had left for Vietnam and confirmed the date of his arrival, and we cooperated with the airport customs to arrest him.]

The distribution of drugs involved so-called "throwing" classes.

It is a non-face-to-face method in which an intermediary distributor places drugs in a building, mailbox, etc., takes a picture and sends it to the buyer, who then comes to the place to find it.

It was mainly distributed in metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Bucheon, and Incheon, and the ages of those who purchased the drugs ranged from 2~10s.

Police have seized 60 million won of the proceeds of crime and are tracking down the sales in Vietnam.
