Ups and downs, in a career, everyone knows. And when, like Matt Pokora, we are about to celebrate 20 years of work, it is certain that the path has not been paved only with roses without thorns. This was the case after the release in 2008 of MP3, his third album. A period that he does not avoid, since it allowed him to question himself.

"At one point when my English album doesn't take, I thought, 'Wow, that's hot! I have to anticipate the fact that it's going to be difficult to come back behind." And it is true that this has been the case. When things don't go well, you're like, "Well, what's in store for me?" ", he explained to Mouloud Achour in the show Clique, reports Gala.

Ignoring the ego

This failure did not shake Matt Pokora's conviction that he had a future in music. More philosophical than depressive, he took the problem head on. And, rather than staying on a defeat bad for the self-image, he acted and started from scratch. "I told myself that I hadn't done enough years to get out of the way for the rest of my life. In fact, things like that happened. I swallowed my ego and went back to the same paths as when I started," he confessed.

Well took him: Matt Pokora is now back at the top. His Epicentre Tour will kick off in June to commemorate 20 years of a busy career! Settled in the United States, he returned to settle in France with his small family, hoping that the two sons he had with Christina Milian begin their schooling in his native country.
