[SBS Entertainment News | Editor Jeon Min-jae] Group Stray Kids member Bang Chan's recent remarks have caused controversy among idol fandoms.

During a live broadcast to interact with fans on the 14th, Bang Chan was asked how it was during the music broadcast in Paris, France, last month.

Bang Chan said, "It was so much fun. It was great to be able to share the stage with other artists."

Bang Chan continued, "I don't know if my words sound like a braid, but I feel like greeting people has become like it's not basic manners," adding, "I'm not trying to insult anyone. When I see someone walk by, I say hello, but they don't. Is that what the current generation is supposed to be?"

When fans began to speculate, he said, "I won't say his name," but the statement spread not only to his fans, but also to the K-pop fandom and various communities.

Bang Chan's remarks sparked a stir among domestic and foreign viewers.

While I sympathize with the fact that they basically expressed their belief in mutual courtesy as colleagues working together, some commentators pointed out that there have been artists who have been criticized without regard to the facts based on speculation.

On the other hand, Bang Chan's group Stray Kids will make a comeback with their third full-length album 'Five Star (★★★★★)' in June.
