Uniform formal building naming system in Dubai

So far, it can be said that what the real estate sector in Dubai has achieved at the level of regulation exceeded the levels and laws in force in the largest markets and global real estate sectors, given the age of the sector in the emirate, where the regulatory laws included the smallest details, but there are still some gaps that have not been corrected, perhaps because of lack of attention to them, or they do not deserve attention and effort to consider and regulate them.

The gap that recently caught my attention in the market is the names of residential buildings in freehold areas, either you find buildings without a name, or you find a group of buildings in different areas with one name.

Some may tell me at this point the developer is one, unfortunately not. Buildings for different developers but the name is unified!

A point that also raised my astonishment, how there is no regulation in a huge real estate sector that is witnessing rapid growth in projects that requires developers to name buildings, and prevents their similarity. Is it difficult?

I think it is not difficult, as is the case with commercial projects where the law imposes the naming of trademarks and prohibits their similarity, the same situation can apply to the real estate industry, especially since the Dubai real estate market is one of the markets that are witnessing continuous growth and development.

In Dubai, there are a large number of real estate developers, a large number of real estate projects, and continuous development of new areas, but the lack of a unified building naming system may be considered one of the disadvantages that the market suffers, and this may make it difficult for buyers and customers to identify the building easily, due to the large spread of buildings, and the developers' great focus on marketing real estate projects in general, and not marketing buildings separately.

The lack of an official building naming system in Dubai has led developers to name buildings randomly, which has led to the similarity of many names, confusion between buildings, and the difficulty of locating them accurately.

The best solution to this situation is to introduce a unified building naming system through which names are adopted in a unified and logical way, and the use of serial numbers to make project buildings more visible and known to all.

A point I wanted to stand at to regulate the naming of real estate buildings and projects as a matter of development and transparency in the real estate sector in Dubai, and I am confident that there are ears.
