The City of Dammartin-en-Goële (Seine-et-Marne) recidivism. It again decided to ban gatherings between 18 p.m. and 3 a.m. in several streets and squares in the city center. This ban will end on October 31, reports La Marne. Until that date, no gathering of more than four people, not related to a demonstration or public party, is allowed.

A similar decree was issued in 2019 and concerned two squares in the commune. But as a result of last year's music festival, a new street was added. The mayor had also extended the ban to the parking lot behind the annex town hall and the church. From now on, the ban extends from the toy library to the parish hall, which is close to residences.

'Music too loud'

The municipality justifies this decision by the many complaints of the inhabitants for "too loud music". Some have even noticed a possible drug trafficking. But, the first deputy in charge of security acknowledges that this ban only shifts the problem. Rallies were reportedly seen "near schools". For the time being, no new complaints have been identified.
