A French rap star on the soundtrack of the next Transformers. MC Solaar has agreed to write a custom track for the seventh installment of the franchise, directed by Steven Caple Jr. and scheduled to hit screens on June 7.

Why the French rapper? The plot of Transformer: Rise of the Beasts takes place in 1994, when MC Solaar crossed borders and conquered the United States. He was able to make his way into the very exclusive club of American hip-hop.

Recall that at the time, MC Solaar ranks his second album, Prose Combat, considered a classic of rap, at the fifth place of the American charts.
