Eurovision Song Contest 2023

The "Cha Cha Cha" of the wild Finnish rapper Käärijä is already a catchphrase

In second place, surprisingly, Finland managed to place this song

In the last hour of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, Käärijä made the Finns dream. After going wild at the Liverpool Arena with his "Cha cha cha", now a famous song in his homeland, which at first glance brings to mind the "gangnam style" of Psy, the Finnish rapper came one step away from victory. The predictions did not fail: second, behind the Swedish Loreen.

Käärijä, born Jere Pöyhönen, was born in Helsinki, and got a place at Eurovision 2023 after participating in the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, a sort of Finnish Sanremo, where he presented this new catchphrase. The song is an adrenaline rush. The stage name instead was attributed to him by friends: Käärijä means "reel", because he is very lucky at the game and therefore has a good dexterity to roll up banknotes.
