Favorite since the eve, it is the Swedish Loreen with 'Tattoo' to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 repeating the previous success of 2012. The singer, visibly excited, is the first woman to win the prestigious singing competition twice. So far only one man had succeeded (Johnny Logan in 1980 and 1987).

Second place for the Finnish Käärijä with 'Cha Cha Cha' brought up by televoting, third for the Israeli Noa Kirel with 'Unicorn'. Marco Mengoni, winner of the 'Marcel Bezençon Composer Award' critics' award for best composition, in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, stopped in fourth place with 'Due vite'.

Excellent result also for the other Italian in the race, Alessandra, who represented Norway singing 'Queen of Kings' and finishing the race in fifth place.

Among the guests of the evening Mahmood (twice competing with 'Soldi' and a year ago together with Blanco with 'Brividi'), the first Italian to be called to perform abroad, who gave his interpretation of 'Imagine', anthem of hope signed by John Lennon, opening the medley 'Liverpool Song Book' together with other former Eurovision contestants.

Sam Ryder, runner-up at Eurovision 2022, had a space of his own with his new single. The Italian attention was all for Marco Mengoni, who in the initial parade together with the Italian flag waved the 'rainbow flag' designed by graphic designer Daniel Quasar with stripes dedicated to the black community, the transgender community, HIV patients and the dead in the battles for rights.

Eleventh singer to go on stage, the singer from Ronciglione thrilled with a flawless performance anticipated by a postcard with images of the Circus Maximus. "I have to see myself again: when I'm on stage I don't realize what's happening. The victory is to be here, after ten years with two crazy performers", said Mengoni chatting with Gabriele Corsi and Mara Maionchi commenting on his performance. In Liverpool, the final started with the handover between Ukraine and
the United Kingdom.

In the video that introduced the performance of the Kalush Orchestra, winner of the last edition with 'Stefania', composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sam Ryder and singer-songwriter Joss Stone appeared. They were joined by Princess Kate Middleton with a cameo on the piano. To conduct the musical party commented on Rai1 by Gabriele Corsi and Mara Maionchi, was the quartet formed by the English singer Alesha Dixon, the actress Hannah Waddingham, the Ukrainian singer Julija Sanina and the Irish television presenter Graham Norton. Sent as usual, the race went on smoothly with the usual dose of trash and 'madness' in the performances of the 26 singers in the race representing 25 European nations to which, as usual, Australia is added.
