Ilheung barbershop, which has been in
Mangwon-dong in Seoul for 40 years, is the last customer of this barbershop.

With an unstoppable touch, I shave my hair on the sides and trim my hair one by one.

The protagonist of the seasoned hand is Park Jung-eun barber with 68 years of experience.

Grandpa Park's surprise retirement ceremony was held today.

40 years of regular customers came to see my grandfather for the last time, [Lee Seung-hwan/Regular Customer: You have suffered for 64 years, and you are not feeling well,

so please take care of your body and live comfortably.]

Grandpa Park also said goodbye to the last visitors.

[Park Jung-eun/Barber: Even if you are lonely and struggling, endure, endure, and get through.]

Grandpa Park, who started barbering in Gwangju at the age of 16 and moved to Seoul, opened the Ilheung barbershop here in 1981.

For 68 years, I touched customers' heads every day, and my hands turned black and scarred.

[Park Jung-eun/Barber: I can't grow my nails, (guests) have broken hair. I cut them twice a week.]

I handmade clogs to stand up for tall customers, and I put stickers on them every time the price of a haircut went up, which was 40,1 won 800 years ago.

[Park Jung-eun/Barber: I thought it was my vocation. I don't know how to pass the time while getting haircuts from customers. I can also know the other person's personality.]

Over the years, we've had regulars over the decades, and some have been coming back even after we move.

However, after surgery for oral cancer last year, my back pain got worse and I ended up quitting my job.

[Park Jung-eun/Barber: I regret that I can't do it because I'm sick... If you're going to do your hair, I have to make you feel healthy and good.]

Grandpa Park is leaving, but the barbershop will remain in place as the new owner decides to keep the space.
