The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool awarded Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Poland, Australia, Armenia and Slovenia. Eliminated the Piqued Jacks, the Tuscan indie-rock group that competed representing San Marino.

These countries will join France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom and Italy. The artists who earned the final are: Brunette, competing for Armenia with "Future Lover", Alika, Estonian, who sang "Bridges", Gustaph who represented Belgium sang "Because of You", Cypriot Andrew Lambrou who sang "Break a Broken Hear", Blanka for Poland sang "Solo", Joker Out, competing for Slovenia with "Carpe diem", the Austrian Teya & Salena with "Who the Hell Is Edgar?", for Albania Albina & Familja Kelmendi with "Duje", Monika Linkyt for Lithuania with "Stay" and the autraliani Voyager with "Promise".

On Saturday, therefore, Italy will be the protagonist, not only for the return, ten years later, of Marco Mengoni to Eurovision, but also for Mahmood's long-awaited tribute to the Beatles.
