On the 3rd, Mr. A, a man in his 50s, withdraws cash from a bank in Cheongju.

His daughter had been kidnapped and he received a phone call threatening to take nude photos of her and distribute them, demanding 2 million won in cash.

A woman approaches Mr. A who arrives near Sejong City Hall, where he decides to hand over the money, and when the woman leaves, the police rush up and handcuff the woman's hands as if they were waiting.

This arrest operation was made possible by the enticing of the police and Victim A.

When Mr. A received a voice-phishing call and rushed out of work, a suspicious colleague immediately called the police, and before Mr. A arrived at the bank, the police found Mr. A's vehicle and informed him that it was a voice phishing crime.

At that time, Mr. A was answering the phone in response to the request of a member of the Voice Fishing organization not to hang up the phone, and the police communicated with Mr. A with notes and hand signals to lure him to collect cash.

[Ms. A: My daughter was caught, but you have to take into account how I am not capable of driving well.]

[Voice-fishing gang member: Then we'll find you the nearest place.]

The member also demanded a photo of the 2 million won in cash withdrawn from Mr. A, and the dispatch police used their wits to send a photo of the cash by adding 1 million won of his own expenses to the 1 million won provided by Mr. A without delay.

Police will continue their investigation into the alleged cash collection scheme and the top of the voice phishing ring.
