A court has suspended a fine sentence for a man in his 50s who shoved a high school student for behaving badly to a security guard.

Today (11th), the 3rd Division of the Daegu District Law's West Jiwon Criminal Division (Chief Judge Moon Hyeon-jung) suspended the sentence of Mr. A (56), who was accused of assault, to a fine of 30,2 won.

Suspended sentencing is a sentence that suspends a sentence for two years for a defendant who has committed a minor offense and relieves him of his or her sentence if he or she has committed no offense during that time.

Mr. A is accused of pushing Mr. B (9) twice in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Seo-gu, Daegu at around 5:4 p.m. on September 32 last year.

At that time, Mr. A was reportedly angry when he saw Mr. B talking to the security guard of the apartment, so he acted like this.

In court, Mr. A argued his self-defense, saying, "I saw Mr. B telling an older security guard, 'When you grow old, you must die,' and tried to admonish him."

However, the court noted that "even if Mr. A's purpose is justified, the justification of the method is not recognized."

However, the court stated the reasons for sentencing, "Taking into account the fact that Mr. A appears to have acted in a momentary inability to control his anger, the fact that the security guard earnestly pleads for a sentence against Mr. A, and the fact that the assault is not severe and is a first-time offender."
