The sudden departure of the young Emirati artist Majid Al Falasi, whose funeral took place the day before yesterday in Dubai, continues to continue among his fans in the UAE and abroad, leaving a deep impact and sorrow on fans of the character (um Saeed), in the famous series «Freej», which has achieved great prestige among the Arab audience over five consecutive seasons of vibrant social comedy.

Painful departure

Rashid Al Falasi, brother of the young Emirati artist, thanked all those who stood in solidarity with the family of the deceased and participated in condoling his family, whether by attending burial and condolence ceremonies, or through the digital space, saying: "Despite our bereavement and great sadness over his passing, we felt some relief as we felt the great love, expressed by thousands from inside and outside the UAE, and the large crowds that came to console us in the funeral home, in our loss, who was loving people, and coming to Rashid added, "I was not very surprised by people's love for my brother Majid, because I know him very well, he was for me an older brother and a close friend who taught me a lot, and stood by me, and was not late all the time to follow up on the details of my diary."

Rashid Al Falasi denied the news that was circulated on social networking sites about his family status, stressing that Majid did not marry, and has no children, and lives in the large family home with his parents, and he passed away while spending his vacation in Egypt, and the news of his departure reached his family in the UAE, the morning after his death, to be transferred to Dubai, where he was buried on Tuesday, in the «Al Quoz 2 Cemetery» in Dubai.

Calm and affectionate

Rashid stressed that the deceased was a calm and affectionate personality, seeking most of the time to help everyone without discrimination and without calculating any differences whatsoever, as he was a successful person in his work, and did not care much about the subject of stardom and lights after the great success achieved by the series «Freej», and his outstanding performance of the character (um Saeed) in particular.

The brother of the late Emirati artist wished that the audience would always remember the good impact left by his brother and the good qualities that distinguished him.

With a lifetime friend

Abdullah Al-Qahtani, Omar's late friend and colleague in the experience of «Al-Fareej» in the character (um Salloum), said about his constant communication with Majed, by virtue of the long friendship that brought them together since 1997: «Before his recent travel to Egypt, we met with a group of friends at dinner, and we stayed in daily contact over the phone, and I remember that he told me on the night of his death about one of the games that he wished to experience after his return to the UAE, after his brother recommended that he order it for him from outside the country».

Abdullah stressed that Majid was fond of electronic games, in addition to his great passion for cinematic works and cartoon series, which were the most prominent common denominators for the two friends, as well as his work in the field of human resources management at the Dubai World Trade Center, where he has a good relationship with all his colleagues, explaining «We were in constant contact every day, exchanging conversations and consulting on most matters, to the point that made me know all his colleagues from the employees without meeting them».

Abdullah described the echoes of his friend's sudden departure, as a great shock, stressing that the late suffered before his departure health problems related to blood pressure and high cholesterol, adding, «On one occasion, while we were meeting in a restaurant for dinner, Majid felt a sharp pain in the head, only to discover that he had a drop in blood pressure». He stressed that the death of his friend was the result of a heart attack suffered during a short vacation in Egypt.

Al-Qahtani stressed that he will not forget the most beautiful moments of a lifetime spent with the deceased, nor even the situations that brought him together with him all the time, and will always remember eagerly most of the meetings in which two of their mutual friends participated, saying, "I will always remember the great loyalty and honesty that characterized Majid in his relationship with his friends, and his rejection, one day, the plot of some and their failed attempts to separate us, and disturb and disturb our friendship, as he said then literally (even if Abdullah made a mistake against me, I will always remain on his side)."
