Organised by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Makers Month will continue this May at Al Quoz Creative District, with the aim of providing an umbrella that brings together makers, talents and entrepreneurs, and working to develop their technical capabilities and various talents and stimulate cooperation among them.

The initiative, which falls under the umbrella of the Al Quoz Creative Zone and will run until the 28th of this month, includes a series of workshops, discussion and dialogue sessions under the supervision of a group of experts and speakers.

Khulood Khouri, Director of Projects and Events at Dubai Culture, said: "In line with our commitment to supporting Dubai's cultural and creative industries, we recognize the importance of the role of Al Quoz Creative Zone in providing an integrated manufacturing ecosystem, and we aim to promote locally manufactured and produced goods and products, which contributes to strengthening Dubai's diversified economic system based on knowledge and innovation."

She stressed that providing the appropriate and stimulating environment and various initiatives and projects works to attract entrepreneurs, talents and manufacturers, and enable them to access investment opportunities, which will positively reflect on the overall growth of the creative economy in Dubai, and help establish the emirate as a hub for innovation and creativity.

Khoury pointed out the importance of this month in supporting manufacturers and SMEs, and enabling them to promote their businesses and services on a larger scale.
