She hired a hired killer to get rid of her children. And she is surprised to stop her

A Russian woman has been accused of hiring a killer to kill her children in order to obtain their inheritance. Police in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia's second-largest city, arrested the 67-year-old woman last week.

A video posted on Telegram by Russia's Interior Ministry shows three plainclothes officers holding the pensioner outside her home. When someone in the street asked her, handcuffing her, "Do you understand why you are being held?" the woman replied surprised, "No."

The newspaper "Metro" quoted Russian media that the woman ordered the killing of her son and two daughters, so that she became the sole owner of the family's property.

The woman shared her plan with her friend, who helped her find a hitman, who was later paid just over £810 to do the job.

Her alleged plan was revealed on the day the hired killer was supposed to carry out his mission on one of her daughters.

Media showed photos released by police of the money package allegedly seized by the killer for the mission, which was confiscated by police.

An official police statement said: Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Krasnoyarsk arrested the woman and is suspected of trying to arrange the murder of her children. The statement added that the move was based on information from an "agent" that a resident of the regional center, born in 1956, who wishes to remain the sole owner of the property, ordered the killing of her son, born in 1978, and her two daughters, born in 1974.
