Ma Seok-do, a monster detective who has moved to the
Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division.

He takes on a new drug crime case and this time faces off against two villains, South Korea and Japan.

Crime City is starring, produced, and planned by actor Ma Dong-suk, making it one of Korea's leading action series, with up to eight episodes scheduled to be produced.

[Ma Dong-seok/Ma Seok-do: What moves do you make to make you cooler, but even when you continue to shoot movies from the screenplay stage, you will have circular hair loss on your head.... I'm making and filming and doing it with so much care.]

In particular, as the prequel Crime City 3 mobilized more than 2 million viewers amid the corona pandemic, the stagnant Korean film industry is looking forward to this sequel.

[Ma Dong-suk/Ma Seok-do: If the audience comes back to the theater and sees a fun movie and can contribute a little bit like before, we're willing to run around and run around.]

Among the Korean films released this year, "Negotiation" is the only one that has recorded more than 8 million viewers.

On the other hand, two Japanese anime films attracted 2.1 million and 100.2 million viewers, respectively, and overall foreign film sales exceeded 530, before the spread of COVID-460.

The theater scene is recovering, but it is a reflection that there were not as many Korean films to watch.

With more than 19 Korean films still left to be released after production, theatergoers are waiting for a reliever to turn the tide.
