A 20-year-old man who stabbed a resident of the same apartment building several times with a weapon and fled has been caught by police.

The Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi arrested Mr. A, a man in his 9s, today (20th) on suspicion of attempted murder.

Mr. A is accused of stabbing Mr. B, who is in his 0s, several times in the head and shoulder with a weapon in the ground parking lot of an apartment in Cheolsan-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, at around 40:60 a.m.

Mr. B was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, and fortunately, his life is not in danger.

Mr. A fled after the crime and hid in a public toilet less than 1 km away before being arrested by the police.

In November last year, he broke his nose bone when he punched Mr. B in the face while arguing with Mr. B in a smoking area in his apartment, and it has been confirmed that a first-instance trial is currently underway.

On this day, he happened to meet Mr. B, who was doing separate collection on the first floor of the apartment, and it was investigated that he went up to the house and brought a weapon because he looked at him unpleasantly, and then committed the crime.

A police official said, "Mr. A has been found to be taking various drugs due to a history of mental illness such as depression," and "he refuses to give a statement about the specific facts of the crime."

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant against Mr. A on suspicion of attempted murder.
