At the Samsung Semiconductor factory in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, an employee of a supplier who stole the mobile phones of his co-workers several times and sold them overseas was caught by the police.

The Pyeongtaek Police Department in Gyeonggi announced today (8th) that it has arrested Mr. A on suspicion of habitual theft and is investigating.

Mr. A, an employee of a Samsung Semiconductor supplier, is accused of stealing 2 mobile phones from his colleagues in the smock room on the fourth floor of Samsung Semiconductor Plant 3 (P3) in Kodeoksandan, Pyeongtaek, from late February to early last month, and then selling them to China for 4 million won.

The Smack Room is a space where workers prepare to enter the semiconductor factory line, where they change into dust suits.

The theft reportedly occurred in a makeshift Smak room in addition to the existing Smak Room, which reportedly had no lockers or lockers.

Police explained that since the location of the incident was a changing room, there was no CCTV due to the nature of the incident, so the investigation took some time.

A police official said, "So far, the damage has been confirmed to be 29 mobile phones, but it appears that Mr. A also committed the crime in another factory building. We are investigating the allegations."

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant against Mr. A.
