Actor Kim Gun-woo (31), who played the villain of Netflix's "The Glory," has opened up about his family history and is receiving an outpouring of support.

In SBS's "Ugly Our Cub," which aired on July 7, actor Kim Gun-woo was portrayed inviting his high school friends for a meal.

Kim Gun-woo confessed, "You are the first person to open up that I grew up with my aunts," adding, "My father had to work because my parents divorced, so I stayed at my uncle's house for two years, four years at my greatest's house in Jangheung, Jeollanam-do, and another four years at my youngest aunt's house in Bundang."

Kim Gun-woo said that his aunts were delighted that "The Glory" became a huge hit, saying, "They love it. Come see the show. Didn't you go to the Miu Sae studio a few days ago? At that time, there was an occasion for the adults in the house to gather, and they all watched it together," he said, "My eldest aunt said, 'We're coming out,' and told me to put out all the rumors there. I hope it will be time to return the favor to my aunts soon."

Kim Gun-woo is said to have won the acting department of the Korea National University of Arts' theater academy. However, he also confessed that he had a long time without being illuminated before appearing in "The Glory," which made him think about giving up acting.

"When I ran out of auditions, I thought, 'Should I stop acting?'" he said. But then again, it falls from a high place. I think I can catch something if I reach for it, but I keep falling out of the final," he said, "One day I went out to buy lunch and I was envious of the office workers wearing company necklaces, having lunch, and having coffee. "It was an audition for 'The Glory' that I met without thinking," he said of the circumstances of meeting 'The Glory.'
