Spring has just arrived in the highlands of
the White Head.

It is said that spring flowers are in full bloom at Geumdaebong in Taebaeksan National Park, and reporter Cho Jae-geun visited this place called the "Heavenly Flower Garden."

The ridge leading from Daedeoksan Mountain to Geumdaebong Peak at an altitude of 1,307 meters.

The sky is still dry, but under the trees in the forest, the early spring flowers have begun.

Each wildflower that has just burst into bloom heralds spring with its fine appearance.

It brightly lit up the forest in green and yellow hues or pale pink or light yellow.

Sometimes they bloomed in groups of hundreds, and a variety of colorful flowers mingled together to form a flower garden.

The place where it is now in full bloom is the ridge and slope around 1,200 meters above sea level.

All the places you walk are flower gardens, but they are small and soft, so you need to look carefully to really appreciate their beauty.

[Shin Mi-kyung, Jeon Young-tae/Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi: The small flowers are so cute and adorable because they are in bloom, so I want to stay more.]

The Geumdaebong and Daedeoksan sections of Taebaeksan Mountain are designated as special protected areas because more than 590 species of various plants grow natively, and 5 species of endangered wild plants such as Daeseong bitter grass and 28 species of Korean specialty plants are distributed.

[Anjubong/Taebaeksan National Park Office Manager: Based on the 1,200~1,300m above sea level, it was warmer than usual, so the flowers bloomed first for about a week. As these flowers keep changing, they will bloom beautifully until mid-May....]

The time of year to explore this section is just over five months, from mid-April to the end of September, with advance reservations limited to a maximum of 5 people per day.
