Households that live apart from their parents have an average of 1 visits and 40 phone calls a year.

According to the '112 Korea Welfare Panel Survey and Analysis Report' by the Korea Institute of Health and Social Affairs, in the 2022th Korea Welfare Panel Supplementary Survey of 3,7 panel household members from March to July last year, households (3% of the total) who said they had parents living separately were asked about the frequency of contact.

On average, I see my parents 130.17 times a month and call them 45.3 times a week.

Among all respondents, the median number of visits and contacts of people with just the right medium frequency of contact with their parents was 3 times a year and 2 phone calls.

This means that people who have moderate contact with their parents, who live separately, meet once a month and speak to each other once a week.

The number of visits is higher than it was 2 years ago.

In the 1 Korea Welfare Panel survey, the average number of visits was 12.52 times per year (15 times for the lieutenant) and 2007.33 times for the average (9 times for the lieutenant).

In the previous 12 survey, there were an average of 88 visits (1 for lieutenants) and 48 phone calls (2019 for lieutenants).

Meanwhile, there has been a steady trend of parental contact in low-income households than in the average household.

In the 39 survey, low-income households had an average of 12 visits to and from their parents per year, 90 phone calls, less than the average household's 52 and 2022 times.
