A distinguished experience dedicated by the Emirati Amal Mohammed Saab through the "Champions of Hope Platform", which she established in a difficult stage, coinciding with the beginning of the spread of the Corona pandemic, betting not only on her passion for the education she practiced in kindergartens in the UAE, but also on her convictions in caring for Emirati children, in which she mastered investment, considering it a real investment in the future.

At the beginning of its interview with "Emirates Today", the founder of the "Champions of Hope Platform" confirmed that "the project came in parallel with the siege (Corona) and the children's social suffering from isolation due to their sudden withdrawal from life, and from practicing their social activities normally, so I thought of devising educational activities that combine interest and fun, in which children and parents master together, investing their time in the best way. Virtual workshops were formed to help children discover, learn, communicate with their peers, and deal more comfortably with the difficult reality imposed on them due to the pandemic."

Positive impact

After Corona, Amal Saab continued the dream path of building the future generation, as she stressed, "I did not plan at the beginning of the establishment of the platform, to continue this experience after the pandemic, but after noticing the positive impact it achieved among children and parents, I was excited to raise the platform's goals and expand the range of beneficiaries. In addition to these lofty goals, the platform was – and still is for me – a reflection of my great passion for the field of education, in which I loved, and in which I embraced unlimited dreams of success and excellence."

Regarding the educational initiatives launched by the platform and the mechanisms for designing their workshops, and their compatibility with the requirements and age needs of children, Amal explained: "The platform launched a series of educational and recreational initiatives, the first of which was (Our Summer in Our Home), with its various educational axes such as space worlds, and the principles of sustainability and recycling in preserving the environment, followed by (In Our Home is Creative), and then the (Ghars 1) initiative in the Ramadan, which was dedicated, in cooperation with the Holy Quran, to celebrate the spirit of the holy month, by telling the stories of the prophets and teaching children ways Reading the Holy Quran properly, which recorded a special interaction that prompted me to complete the march and establish the initiative (Ghars2) and (Ithra) to support the Arabic tongue, and enrich the linguistic outcome of our children in the UAE, leading to the last initiative (Gharss 3)."

She pointed out that the platform's programs and recreational and educational workshops target children between the ages of four and eight, pointing out that the initiatives will continue over a whole month, and allocate three days a week for each of them, provided that each workshop extends for one hour, to ensure that children attract attention to its contents. The motivational competitions for the platform were allocated material prizes and gifts for children.

Celebration and enthusiasm

Regarding the children's interaction with the initiatives, Amal Saab stressed that it is large, and can be seen from the full numbers of attendees recorded by the workshops so far, as it attracted more than 600 children from all the emirates of the country, which reflected their admiration for its contents, in addition to their parents who are communicating with Amal Saab to ask about the dates of the new workshops and register their children, which makes the owner of the platform proud and proud, as the platform not only bets on enhancing the child's perception and refining his personality, but also on raising his awareness. Customs and traditions and the promotion of the values of identity, which are reflected in the initiative through efforts to support the presence of the Arabic language, to reduce the influence of multiple foreign languages today on the culture of our children.

Volunteer efforts

Amal Saab praised the efforts made by volunteers in supporting the platform's goals, whether through participation or designing some workshops, adding: "Since the launch of the platform, I have adopted writing the contents of the workshops, designing a teacher's guide and another guide for parents, to serve as the approach followed by trainers, in presenting their contents," pointing to her bias towards choosing university colleagues and professional educational cadres who have shown their willingness to participate in efforts to support the platform and its contents.

Ghaya and Ghaith

With the cartoon character of "Ghaya" and "Ghaith", Amal Saab raised the ceiling of suspense, inspiring children in the UAE to turn to the contents of her interesting platform, after her new programs and workshops are presented on the pages of the social platform, through fun videos in the voice of "Ghaya" and "Ghaith", which increased the enthusiasm of children to hurry to register, participate and attend.

With time and high financial burdens, Amal decided to allocate symbolic amounts in exchange for participating in the platform's courses and programs, to ensure the continuity of its activities and development, appealing to the concerned authorities and institutions to support her project and her big dreams of transforming her initiative today, from the virtual space to a specialized center for the rehabilitation of children, in which Amal bets on modern and different teaching methods that contribute to educating children and raising them in ambitious and innovative modern ways.
