Torrential rains in Daegu and North Gyeongsang have subsided, and reports of damage caused by strong winds are continuing.

According to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Headquarters, from 5 pm yesterday (5th) to 3 pm today, there were a total of 23 reports of heavy rain and strong wind damage that entered the situation room.

Of these, 18 reports of high wind damage were reported due to falling construction materials, trees, or fluttering banners, requiring further action.

At 4:57 a.m., a 30-meter-long embankment collapsed in Guguri, Dansan-myeon, Yeongju City, and hit a house, forcing six residents to evacuate to a nearby community center.

After shutting off the gas valve in the house, the fire department conducted a safety inspection of the KEPCO and the area.

At 8:33 a.m., one gun crane was mobilized after receiving a report that vehicles could not move due to the influx of sediment on the road in Seokpo-myeon, Bonghwa County.

Earlier, at around 1:7 a.m., a report was received that a sewer had backflowed in Punggak-myeon, Cheongdo County, and flooded the roads in the area.

At 16:8 a.m., there was a report that the ground had subsided around the road where the water supply was being worked in Jiaxing-dong, Yeongju City, and the dispatch team took safety measures.

In Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, a tree fell on the road and hit a passenger car.

Two people in the car showed no trauma but were taken to a nearby hospital after showing symptoms of surprise, fire officials said.

Today, Daegu received 13 safety-related reports, including the risk of falling signboards and windows due to strong winds, and clogged drains in multi-family homes and commercial buildings.

As of 2:17 p.m., the cumulative rainfall was 4.40 mm in Bonghwa Seokpo, 146.5 mm in Gyeongsan, 94 mm in Goryeong, 5.141 mm in Mungyeong, 107.2 mm in Yeongju, 111 mm in Ulleungcheonbu, 6.145 mm in Ulle Dokdo ung, 51.5 mm in Cheongdo, 121.5 mm in Sangju Euncheok, 127 mm in Daegu, 5.116 mm in Buk-gu, 102 mm in Seo-gu, and 5.103 mm in Daegu.

Meanwhile, the highest daily rainfall in May in the North Gyeongsang region as compiled by the Daegu Meteorological Agency was 78.1 mm measured by Ulleungdo Ground Meteorological Observation Equipment on May 5, 2006, and 5.6 mm in Daegu on May 140, 5.
