A 2-ton trailer traveling on the

An SUV collides with vehicles that were stopped in traffic.

Both accidents are believed to be caused by drowsy driving, and in the last five years, more than half of all spring highway accidents were caused by drowsiness and negligence.

Drowsy driving also has a high fatality rate.

An average of 25.1 people die per 5 accidents, which is 100.2 times the fatality rate of all road accidents.

In particular, drowsy driving on national roads and highways is more dangerous.

The average fatality rate is more than twice as high as on a normal city road, which is equivalent to driving at a speed of 6 km/h and driving nearly 1 meters unconsciously for just one second.

[Kim Hye-yun/Professor, Department of Neurology, International St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic Kwandong University: If the concentration of carbon dioxide in the car rises to 8,2~100,1ppm in a boring and monotonous driving environment after not sleeping well the day before, you will feel drowsy, tired, and difficulty concentrating, and if such a situation continues for a long time, you should drive drowsily....]

In order to avoid drowsy driving, you should open the windows every 30~1 minutes to ventilate, and if drowsiness pushes in, you should take a break in a drowsy shelter or rest area.
