The appointment was set at 14 p.m., on the Place Jean Macé, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon by the Lyon Struggle Committee. "It seems important to us to punctuate the movement [against the pension reform] by the next inter-union day on June 6," the organizers noted. But this Friday morning, the prefecture of the Rhône announced that it had taken an order to prohibit the demonstration.

It justifies this decision "given the calls for participation of radical elements at the origin for several weeks of heavy damage to businesses and significant injuries of national police, targets of many projectile throws".

Last Monday, during the demonstration of May 1, "2,000 individuals at risk including 1,000 black blocs" were posted at the head of the procession destroying street furniture and some businesses in their path. In total, sixty-six people were arrested after the numerous damages in the city, on the sidelines of the demonstration against the pension reform.
