Sultan Al Qasimi directs the allocation of AED 2.5 million to provide libraries from "Children's Reading"

The Ruler of Sharjah's initiative aims to invest in the pillars of knowledge and open horizons for new generations to learn about the new arts and sciences. WAM

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the allocation of AED 2.5 million to provide Sharjah public and government libraries with the latest publications of publishing houses participating in the activities of the 14th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival.

The initiative of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah stems from His Highness' vision towards investing in the pillars of knowledge, opening horizons for new generations to learn about the new arts and sciences issued in Arabic and foreign languages, supporting the presence of libraries in the educational system for children, and providing them as a destination for schools and parents as basic learning centers.

The 14th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival is attended by 141 publishing houses, from 16 countries, including 93 Arab publishing houses, and 48 foreign publishing houses, which provide their content of stories and educational books, and cover various creative arts in the field of children's literature, and more than 457 guests from 66 countries participate from senior writers, writers, artists, publishers and painters, and the festival receives its visitors in this session with 1732 diverse activities dedicated to young and old.
