The autopsy performed on the body of the man found dead at his home Tuesday in Montpellier, revealed that he died of natural causes. It is his extremely precarious state of health that would have led to discomfort and his fall, which would be at the origin of the large open wound. The room was also in a major mess, as if a fight had taken place there. But the coroner ruled out any intervention by a third party that could have led to his death.

The death was at least 24 hours ago, when his girlfriend called for help. While the couple was known to the police for mutual violence, she was taken into custody, along with her brother who accompanied her. She told police that she discovered the body after being absent for several days, which the investigation confirmed.

The girlfriend and her brother were released and totally cleared. Investigations are continuing to rule out all possible hypotheses.
