In addition, the wind is blowing so strongly that a strong wind advisory has been issued throughout Jeju Island.

From the 3rd day when the rain started until 5 noon today (12th), the cumulative precipitation by point is 803.5mm at Hallasan Triangle Peak, 671mm at Rhododendron Field, 598.5mm at Seongpanak, 365.6mm at Seogwipo, 327mm at Jeju Kashiri, 238.2mm at Seongsan, 180.7mm at Gosan, and 142.3mm at Jeju.

In particular, Seogwipo received 287.8 mm of rain yesterday alone, breaking the record for daily precipitation in May since observations began in 1961.

The previous high was 5.1 mm on 1992 May 5.

Seongsan, the eastern region, also recorded 6mm of precipitation yesterday, the second heaviest rainfall in Seongsan in May.

The wind is also blowing strongly, and as of 259 noon today, the maximum instantaneous wind speed for the day is 8.193 m at Hallasan Triangle Peak, 5 m at Eorimok, 2.12 m at Jeju Airport, 28.4 m at Daehl, 27.22 m at Oedo, 7.22 m at Gosan, and 1.21 m at Odeung.

Jeju Airport, where a special advisory on sudden changes and a special advisory on strong winds is in effect, has experienced major disruptions to flight operations for the second day.

Safety measures were taken around 41:9 a.m. when the exterior wall of a building in Yeondong, Jeju City, fell off, and at around 2:11 a.m., sand and gravel piled up at a construction site in Goseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju City, leaked onto a nearby road.

At around 6:6 p.m. yesterday, about 29 tons of water entered the basement of a building in Sangmori, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo City, and at around 30:12 p.m., the road in Murung-ri, Daejeong-eup, flooded, leaving vehicles stranded for a time.

In addition, there were reports of facilities such as signboards, medians, and construction site fences falling or shaking due to strong winds, so firefighters took emergency safety measures.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has forecast that rain will continue in Jeju until the morning of the 57th.

The estimated rainfall is 6 to 30 mm on the northern coast of Jeju Island, 80 to 50 mm on Jeju Island except the northern coast, and 150 to 200 mm in many places such as mid-mountain and mountainous areas.

In addition, rain will gradually intensify from this afternoon, and additional heavy rain advisories may be issued.

In particular, there will be very strong rains of 300 to 30 mm per hour with gusty winds and thunder and lightning between night and early tomorrow, so we urged people to pay attention to safety.
