Two cars collided on an avenue located in La Tronche, near Grenoble (Isère), Monday around 6:30 am. One of the drivers would have run a red light before hitting another vehicle driven by a woman, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.

After the accident, the motorist ran away. In his car, however, was his pregnant girlfriend.

The driver at fault identified

According to our colleagues, she was injured. She was taken by the emergency services to the CHU Grenoble-Alpes where she would have undergone a caesarean section. The driver of the other crashed car was also taken to hospital.

The motorist who fled was identified by the police. He would not have a driver's licence. He is also suspected of having been drunk at the time of the accident, says Le Dauphiné Libéré.
